Philippine War in Politics
It's been a long time since I've had this account here on the blog because I've been busy with other things, mainly with my family, and I just visited again and thought of adding content for it. I have changed the name of my blog, in the hopes that it will be more appropriate for what I intend to do with it.
So far, I've been thinking about Philippine politics because I'm a Filipina living in Japan with family here, but I can't help but worry about my home country. It is terrible that people's lives have not been changed in the past as a result of people claiming to know the truth and to have brought true democracy to the Filipinos.
What good is democracy if Filipinos are not assured of a bright future? Over their three decades in power, the Filipino people's living standards have deteriorated even more, and there have been more crooks and abusers in government.
Now that I am of the right age, I admit that I believed in the good governance of the late president Ferdinand E. Marcos. We are just poor and lacking in certain things; nonetheless, our family is able to live, and my parents are able to return home safely. Payment of rental housing and house bills are two examples of low-cost commodities at that time are ideal for supplementing income to meet needs other than food.
Simple things that remind my youth of living a simple and destitute life but full of love from my parents, friends and the government's true service. Back in the day I noticed that people around us rarely got angry from neighbors. We playmates have fun together with things and sports games. Our bodies and minds are constantly in motion. Always looking forward to going to school to see friends and classmates and participate in school activities.
During Marcos' time, his government was always involved to students because he had programs such as "ALAY LAKAD" to the Rizal Park in Manila during high schools and we would be given a fare by the teachers from the president so that we could safely return to our homes.
Another thing I will never forget is that we always walk safely on the streets even at night because everything is quiet. No one was drinking alcohol anywhere until morning. Everyone has discipline, everyone knows how to obey the law.
Until I was 7, I grew up in a peaceful community until Ninoy Aquino and his comrades started threatening the government and causing trouble. That is where the explosions started in Manila, in Plaza Miranda and some people were injured and killed. That is the biggest reason why the late president Ferdinand E. Marcos, declared martial law.
Unfortunately, Because of their ambition for power and resentment toward a few people, the entire nation was affected, and there were divisions.
Many went to EDSA for People Power in February 1986, until the Marcos family was evicted. If Marcos wished, the troops could afford to evict them but Marcos refused since he did not want to injure people. Most of us are well-versed in history. Many things were modified, many lies were said, and the Marcoses lost their right to speak the truth until they returned to the Philippines.
l'm so grateful that President Rodrigo Roa Duterte was elected because many people woke up, took courage, and fearlessly confronted the biased mainstream media. We all believe that what they keep hidden from the public is more important than what they say. They are suffocating Filipinos' freedom of choice and making the Marcos family seem bad. Why are they so worried about the Marcos regaining power? Are they worried that the truth they've been hidden will be revealed? Do people realize they're lying? Or are they claiming that they are afraid of martial law?
The accusations leveled against the Marcoses are endless. If they believe the documents they have in their hands are not true or phony, why can't they be charged with forgery or falsification of the documents they have? Why? Is it because they are also aware that these documents are likewise authentic?
The yellow army has not stopped filing disqualification against Bongbong Marcos, they do not want to stop. They are the ones who say they have the truth and freedom but why are they now suppressing the true freedom of the Filipinos to choose who they want to lead? Remember that during the EDSA Revolution in 1986, EDSA was not the only place full of people. LUNETA PARK is also full of people who believed and loved former president Ferdinand Marcos. But this has been forcibly hidden by the biased media. In comparison to the entire Philippines, only a small percentage went to EDSA back then!
2022 Presidential Aspirant BongBong MarcosThe electoral system can no longer be trusted, many things are complicated in today's election campaign. As a result, the people's freedom to freely select and not be mislead, as well as to elect the people's actual choice, must be rigorously maintained and fought for.
Because of the self-interest of a few, lies should no longer prevail. Do not be oppressed by actual traitors; fight for true freedom and rights. We Filipinos should truly benefit from our freedoms and privileges, not just a select few who profit off our naïve consciousness.
